Skookum Fergies is located in South East Queensland Australia between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Situated on 5 acres of land our dogs and puppies have room to run, learn and grow. The goal of Skookum Fergies is to raise exceptional and impressive dogs whether you choose to have a puppy as a companion or for a working dog. We chose the name Skookum as a nod of the head to British Columbia Canada where I am from. The word Skookum is exclusive to this area of Canada only and means exceptional or impressive, which is also our goal in breeding our puppies. Fergies is short for our surname, Ferguson.

A bit about me, I am Canadian and moved to Australia in 2021 with my Aussie husband and our now 5 year old son. We live in South East Queensland on a beautiful 5 acre property. Breeding dogs has been a lifelong dream of mine and I now find myself in a position to do it, beginning with two amazing purebred Border Collies. I have been retired from work for a few years now and am a full time parent to our son as well as to our dogs and puppies.

Our dogs are not just companions they are family members. They are indoor dogs and spend all of their time with us. Our dogs are health and DNA tested and clear of all diseases that we can test for.

You can be rest assured that your puppy has been brought up in a loving family environment, indoors, been given access to high quality food, vet care, training, and enrichment. We are continuously developing our puppy program so that your new family member has the best start to their life that we can give.
