Here at Aroha iti Frenchies we are proud to be part of the MDBA Genetic action plan program.
Excited to be the first in New Zealand to have litters born in the program we have produced 7 single copy DVL2 babies that are also ADAMTS3 clear.
We are a small breeding program all our dogs live with us as part of the family.
All our breeding dogs are X-ray scored trachea, spine and hips, they have had respiratory function grading done and also DNA.
It is so exciting to see the beautiful spines that are being produced from removing a DVL2 gene (Screwtail).
Also seeing beautiful clear breathing and improved overall health.
As a breeder we should always be improving health and moving forward, this year we will also focus on the elimination of the CDDY gene (Linked with IVDD) but also with keeping our COI as low as possible.
Our in house stud has amazing health results, Armiri is a single copy DVL2, ADAMTS3 clear, spinal score 0,
Trachea 0.21 and respiratory function grading score 0 (perfect).
