Our babies are raised inside our family home surrounded by love, cuddles, kids and are well socialised with other dogs and different breeds from birth.

As they grow they become used to free range chickens, guinea fowl, alpacas and horses - our aim is to give them the best start to life we possibly can.

We do ask a lot of questions of our puppy buyers in the first instance and require you to complete our full and extensive puppy questionnaire and have a lengthy phone conversation with us before even considering you as a potential suitable home, or offering you a puppy.

We do not sell our precious babies that have been lovingly raised with no expense spared to just anyone that comes along. Welcome to Elkonie Mirri Mini Dachshunds, MDBA breeder of Mini Dachshunds based on the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales (NSW).
Elkonie has been a lifelong dream to continue my parents' breeding program which has now come to life; and Mirri is my Dunghutti Nation word for Dog. Elkonie used to be my parents breeding program, which I used to help with in breeding and showing German Shepherds.

Fast forward to present day – Elkonie Mirri breeds miniature dachshunds. The Dachshunds are family pets and are the centre of the family life, with large acreage to play, filled with enriching activities to keep them entertained.
Miniature dachshunds are such sweet and smart dogs with lots of love and companionship to give. Our goal at Elkonie Mirri is to be able to pair a puppy with an owner looking for the same level of companionship, love and dedication for the breed.
As mini dachies are a social dog, they require lots of companionship, trips to socialise with their owner and friends, and someone that can be with them all the time. Dachies are also adventurous dogs and won't pass up an opportunity to leave the house and go for a wonder with their owner. It's important to keep in mind that a dachies weight and health need to be monitored, particularly with things like overfeeding as this can cause back problems (commonly known as IVDD).
If you are however looking for a dog that will continually surprise you, be a joy to be around and will never leave your side (whether that's just sitting at home or out and about on another adventure), then a miniature dachshund could be right for you.

Nami the red Shiba inu has a abnormal l RFL, bones distal to elbow short (shorter leg due to umbilical cord being wrapped around), which will not affect her quality of life, ( In short simple wording the leg was restricted in the womb due to the umbilical cord wrapped around the paw. once cord was removed the leg grew bigger as she grew. There is not physical abnormalities and mobility is at 100% as she runs around as fast as her litter mate. Her leg just needs abit longer to catch up with the missed growth the paw missed in the womb. She will be available from the 7th of May for $4000, accepting offers.

A small home-based breeder of standard sized Australian Cobberdogs.

Our focus is based on temperament, genetic health, conformation and foundational training.

All our breeding dogs are DNA tested, hip scored and elbow assessed.

We only have 1 or 2 litters per year.

Our pups start their education from just 2 days old with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) followed by Early Scent Introduction (ESI) at the appropriate age milestone.

Dog door training, basic commands in both verbal and sign language, crate acclimation and noise conditioning commence at 3 weeks of age.

At 4 weeks of age the pups commence spending time outside in the puppy playground with a range of activities and obstacles to investigate and navigate.

Our pups are introduced to our resident dogs of different ages, genders, breeds, colours and disabilities at 5 weeks of age. For summer litters, pups are also introduced to water therapy and swimming.
