New Breeder Membership

Single Breeder Memberships

This is a membership for one person.

One (1) year membership: $188.00 ($108.00 for membership fee + $60 for prefix application + $20 for a 1 year prefix registration)

Three (3) years: $390.00 ($270 for membership fee + $60 for prefix application + $60 for 3 years prefix registration)

Five (5) Years: $592 ($432 for membership fee + $60 for prefix application + $100 for 5 years prefix registration) 

Dual Breeder Memberships

This is a membership for two people who reside at the same address.

One (1) year: $268 ($188 membership fee + $60 for prefix application + $20 for a 1 year prefix registration)

Three (3) years: $590 ($470 membership fee + $60 for prefix application, + $60 for 3 years prefix registration)

Five (5) years: $912 ($752 membership fee + $60 for prefix application + $100 for 5 years prefix registration) 

Adding or removing a person to an existing membership

Changing a Single Breeder Membership to a Dual Breeder Membership: $120.00,

Changing a Dual Breeder Membership to a Single Breeder Membership: $100.00

* We recommend that if you would like a second person on your membership, that you apply for a Dual Breeder Membership at the time of Breeder Membership application to avoid these additional costs.

This is a membership for one person

One (1) year: $60

Companion Dog Owner

Other Membership Charges

Duplicate Membership Certificate: $30

Duplicate Membership Card: $35

Kennel Prefix

Any change to a kennel prefix: $120

Any prefix registration changes required to align your prefix expiry with your membership expiry: $20 per year or part of a year

*We recommend taking your time to select the right prefix at the time of prefix application to avoid these additional costs

Transfer of a kennel prefix to another MDBA breeder member: $120

Transfer of a kennel prefix to a non-MDBA breeder member: $120 + the new membership fees for the person receiving the prefix

Stud Registry Fees

Individual Dog Registration

Litter Registration

For each pup that is less than 6 months old at the time payment:

Restricted pedigrees (Limited): $22.00 per pup

Open registered pedigrees (Mains): $29.00 per pup

For each pup that is older than 6 months and less than 9 months old at the time of payment:

Restricted pedigrees (Limited) and Open registered pedigrees (Mains): $55 per pup

For each pup that is over 9 months old at the time of payment:

Restricted pedigrees (Limited) and Open registered pedigrees (Mains): $70 per pup

An extra administration fees will be charged if you do not supply the MDBA with the required documentation at the time of your application: $20

Transfer of Ownership

At the time of the puppy’s initial registration: $10.00

After the pedigree has been issued:

MDBA Breeder members: $25.00

Non-MDBA Breeder members: $40.00
