This is a course in Kennel/shelter Management which has been designed to provide a framework of material which can be used to make an extensive study of Rescue /Shelter Kennel Management by the students, thereby setting standards within the area of companion animal rescue facility care which is currently lacking. By completion the student will know Planning and design systems, Local Authority regulations, Quarantine, Health and hygiene, Advertising and marketing , staff issues and staff training, organisation, management, accountancy, record keeping, business planning and how to run a profitable business in a non - profit or commercial setting, policy and procedural issues and insurance issues.
